We discovered this beauty on the wonderful world of
craigslist last weekend. It was built around 1895, and we got it for a steal of a price ($225 plus the costs of a U-haul and tuning), considering all the work that had been done to it. I'm excited to practice on it (I can play very little) and to teach my children how to play this amazing instrument.

WOW! How exciting, that is a steal of a deal. Looks nice! Have fun practicing and playing! My cousin lives in California and just got a piano off of Craigslist for FREE! She said lots of people are just giving their pianos away. Still a good find! Congrats! I need to start finding me some good deals like you have done.
That's really cool. It's very pretty.
That is a beautiful piano!! I definitely have a case of "piano envy" now :)
Beautiful! I love antiques.
Wow! When I first read your post I read 1985 (i may be dyslexic) and then when I read the comments Carrie said something about antiques and I thought that was funny she called something that was made only 20 years ago an antique and then I reread it...and Holy cow! 1895! that is so cool! it looks like the piano on the Three Amigos. :)
Wow, the piano is really pretty. I am so excited to get back to mine and play again. Have fun and enjoy it.
