My all-time favorite toy this year: an original 1971 Fisher Price record player (not the stupid digital 2010 remake)! I bought it on eBay. :) I may have been a little more excited to play with it than the kids were.

Literacy Night

We all went to Kara's school for Family Literacy Night. They did some crafts and listened to a story. Kara got to put an ornament on the Christmas tree. It was a good evening.

USAA 5K

We participated in the annual 5K Run/Walk for the 5th year in a row! We brought both strollers this time so that we could push all three kids at once (as needed). The weather was perfect.


About a kilometer into the walk, we heard some shouting a little way behind us then saw a deer prancing away. People started yelling for a medic; someone had been hit by the deer! A few minutes later, the ambulance came. Yikes!
