Kara's Birthday

My oldest child just turned 5. What's going on here? Time is evil. But I love Kara. She's a really big help and a good older sister. She loves to read, and I'm afraid that Kindergarten won't challenge her. She didn't have a party with friends this year, which was fine with her. She'll get one next year. In case you're wondering what the cake is supposed to be, it's a purple cat, per request. Happy birthday, Kara Lynn!

Rodeo Days

We all had fun walking the rodeo grounds on President's Day. The kids had a great time, and the weather was much nicer than last year. We packed a lunch and stayed for a good four hours. I love this family activity.

Joshua is saying "cheese." Can you tell he has a lisp? :)

Poor baby was SO tired from being carried around all day. Wouldn't you be?

Kids Playing

I spied on K and J without them knowing I was there. I think Kara was singing a song that she was making up.

Bath Time for Nada

Nada LOVES taking a bath. She acts like she can't ever get into the tub fast enough! One day after I let all the water out, she continued to talk and play, and it was so fun just watching her.

Second Christmas

After we came back home from Virginia, we all opened Christmas presents from us and from Grandma and Papa Fay. The kids loved openings gifts again and getting more toys!

White Christmas in Virginia

We planned to all drive to the D.C. temple to do some work there, but it started snowing... and snowing... and snowing! It snowed over 24 inches in 2 days. So instead of going to the temple (which was closed) that Saturday, we played in the snow.

Brian's youngest brother Thomas plays the piano well, so it was really fun having my own personal accompanist.

Unfortunately, we came home to a house with no power and had to throw out the contents of our fridge and freezer. BUT we had a WONDERFUL 3-week vacation in Virginia! Thanks, Mom and Dad; it was great to see y'all!
