Cousins

While we were in Yuma for Christmas, we were able to have the kids get their pictures taken with their cousins (my sister Angela and her husband Greg's children). It was a hectic morning (aren't all picture days, though?) with a hungry baby and bored kids. This was the best one of them all together. Other than Ben looking like he's growling and Kara with her socks growing out of her head, I think it turned out pretty well.

Happy Birthday, Kendra!

Today is our niece Kendra's fourth birthday. She's a really happy girl who loves everyone. Have a good one, Kendra!

7 months

Joshua is seven months old today. I wanted to compare a picture of him next to one of Kara when she was this old, but the youngest ones I can find of her on this computer are at 8 months, so I guess the comparison will just have to wait one more month! Look at what a good boy he is...

Splish! Splash!

Every baby takes at least one bath in the kitchen sink, right? I decided I'd better give Joshua one before he got too big.

Kara has her own little kitchen sink. Here she is washing Baby-doll's hair.

Baby Food

Joshua has been eating rice cereal for about a month now. We just recently started him on other solids. He likes carrots!

And this is what he thinks of peas...

Lastly, here's Kara's opinion of them:

Christmas in Yuma

We were able to spend 10 days in Yuma visiting my family for Christmas. It was great to see so many people that I hadn't seen in at least two years. We had a wonderful time.

Visiting Santa

At the end of every month, we upload the pictures from the camera to the computer (this habit may very well change now that I'm blogging), so the most recent ones I have are December pics; ergo, that's what I'm posting first.
Santa Claus came to visit our community early in December. Kara's first experience having her picture taken with him (at about 10 months old) was terrible (she was sad, tearful, and frightened). This time was much better. She was hesitant to go up to him, but he quickly became her friend when he offered her a candy cane. Joshua was perfectly fine sitting on Santa's lap (for some reason he especially likes strangers), and he was fascinated by Santa's gloves.
