Happy Birthday, Brian!

Brian's golden birthday was last week: he turned 27 on the 27th. I made him breakfast that morning, got him some new clothes and Cheesecake factory cheesecake, and took him to Dave & Buster's. Happy birthday, hun! Love ya.

Old Lady

Baby Nada is already 5 months old today! She likes to smack her lips all the time, and we think it's hilarious. She reminds me of an old person with no teeth.

Home Depot Kids Workshop

This is a great little free program that Kara really enjoyed. She (or, uh, Daddy) made a message board. :)

Pioneer Day Celebration

Our ward's Primary (Presidency, so that meant myself and one other sister who was able to come) was in charge of yarn doll-making this year. It went well, and the kids had fun going around to all the booths. Too bad all the pies were gone by the time we got around to them! We also all dressed up in pioneer garb and had our photo taken, but we have yet to figure out how to get the picture.

Twenty-five

My birthday was a few weeks ago (Jul 22nd), but I really wanted to blog about it because it was a wonderful day. Brian surprised me by taking the day off, so I was able to sleep in, and he helped tend the kids (so I guess I was only working part-time that day?). He also took Kara and Joshua out for a while, so I had some peaceful, quiet "me time," since I was left with just Nada, who isn't much of a handful yet. That afternoon my amazing friend Ashley watched the older two munchkins, and Brian and I (took the babe and) went to see Harry Potter. We splurged this year on a Cold Stone ice cream cake (I hadn't had an ice cream cake for my birthday in years!), and it was reeeeeeally yummy! Brian put the kids to bed and sent me off to get a full-body massage, peppermint foot scrub, and a hot towel & cold stone face massage. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Here's to the next quarter of a century.

Dress Up and Stuff

Nada stays entertained for a while just by sitting in the Bumbo and watching the older two dance or run around the living room. This is generally what happens each day while I'm making dinner.

Grandma and Papa Vance sent Joshua a dinosaur costume, which might fit him for Halloween in about 2 years. (It's a little big.)

Sorry, Daddy.

Painting

...before the mess. I should have taken an after shot because this stuff was everywhere.

He Ate Asphalt

A few weeks ago Joshua was standing up in the stroller while I pushed it (don't ask why I let him do that). He inevitably fell forward out of it and met the ground with his face. Luckily, he had no broken bones or teeth, but Ouch!
