It was a little warm today, so I had turned the ceiling fan on in the living room, and he kept looking up at it. I told him, "fan" and did the sign for "ceiling fan" (index finger pointed upwards and making circles). Later I asked him, "Where's the fan?" while signing it, and he would look at it, so I knew he understood. The next time I asked him a little later, he looked at the fan and tried doing the sign, too! It looks kinda like he's just pointing at it, but he's not; he's signing "ceiling fan." :)

(Don't look at his face in this next one; just look at that cute little finger!)

Leah,
How exciting! That is so amazing that at such a young age they can understand and do such things! That's good you are starting to teach him that now.
By the way, I got the gift you sent. Thank you, I need to call you. Sorry I haven't yet but I wanted you to know I did get it. Kenner had his eye on it! I thought we were getting better then last Friday Kenner starting having a nasty cough. So, he's still getting over that. Don't think I've totally forgotten you. I'll give ya a call when we are better. It'd be fun to come out there and play with you guys!
Aww! What a cutie. They do pick things up fast, and even though we did just very basic signs with the girls, it sure made things easier when they could communicate! Way to remember your ASL!
