Last year we bought Kara a Big Wheel for her birthday. Well, she wasn't quite ready for one yet. She couldn't reach the pedals and couldn't steer worth beans; she couldn't even stay on the street let alone anything narrower. Daddy helped her practice once in a while throughout the year, but she didn't seem to be getting much better.

Then, over the past month, Kara has shown drastic improvement. She can now pedal just fine (and keep it going), stay on the sidewalk by steering, and even stop (by putting both feet down, but it works)! We regularly go on walks, and I'm pushing just one child in the stroller again. It's GREAT!

You go Kara! She looks so happy and free on that trike. What a cutie. Ah to be young again just riding your bike without a care in the world!
I had one of those bikes when I was little too! I want one again!;) They're sooo much fun! I also remember that my brother, Mareo, had a black and blue or yellow one too and we would spend hours outside riding them!
I forgot to mention that she likes to stop and pick "flowers" (weeds that bloom) on our walks. In the last picture you can see one in her left hand.
